En Juan Manuel García Ferrer, del cineclub de l'Associació d'Enginyers de Barcelona assistirà com a jurat internacional de la Federació internacional de cineclubs (FICC) al Festival International de Films de Fribourg (Suïsa). Allà amb altres dos cineclubistes atorgaran el premi Quijote de la FICC. Els cineclubs catalans poden participar en aquest premi gràcies a que la FCC és membre d'aquesta institució internacional.

Estimats membres de la FCC,
Aquest premi és organitzat per la Federació Internacional de cineclubs que facilita a les diferents federacions la possibilitat de que els cineclubs participin en aquests festivals com a jurat.
Jury will watch all films selected for the international short film competition (documentaries, animated films and feature films with a running time of 30 minutes or less) and choose the FICC Don Quixote Prize winner.
1. Working Language: English
2. Tres persones. Una d’elles serà de Polònia
3. Invitation by the Festival covers:
B&B SGL hotel (May 28 - June 3), meals, full accreditation, free entry to all Festival events and up to 100 EUR refund for foreign Jury members' travel expenses
4. Important: including a printable portrait Photo (jpg, tiff, 300dpi –minimum!) and as well a short biography
5. Festival dates: Date of Arrival – 24 març 2012. Date of Departure – 1 d’abril 2012

El candidat que es presenta, adquireix el compromís d'assistir al festival. En cas de no ser així, haurà de proporcionar un substitut per al seu lloc al jurat del festival. També haurà d’enviar una fotografia i un cv.
Els membres del jurat han d'escriure un article en català i Anglès o Francès i portar un catàleg del festival per a la FCC.

IFFS INFORMATION
The International Federation of Film societies deeply regrets the tragic death of Theo Angelopolus, creator of cornerstones in world cinema and former President of the FICC/IFFS. It was a great honour to have Mr. Angelopoulos as our president. His work as an artist striving towards a better world through journalism and film, is an invaluable legacy. May he rest in peace and his films live on forever.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of the death last night of Theo Angelopoulos, one of the true greats of world cinema. The 76-year-old director was hit and killed by a motorcycle while crossing a road near the set of The Other Sea, which as discussed below was to be the closing chapter of a trilogy after 2004’s The Weeping Meadow and 2009’s The Dust of Time, his most recent features.
David Jenkins interviewed Angelopoulos last November for this article, which runs in our current February issue; we published it online two weeks ago. Time seems to have suddenly moved very fast, but we hope that David’s appraisal of Angelopoulos’s career, and the director’s own recent voice presented herein, will serve to honour the achievements of this master of the historical fresco and trailblazer of the sequence shot.
An obituary will run in our March issue. In the meantime, this transcript of a substantial interview conducted by Geoff Andrew with Angelopoulos on stage at the National Film Theatre in 2003 is further recommended reading.

Hi ha pel•lícules de qualitat, presents a festivals internacionals de prestigi que no s’estrenen a les sales comercials, i que fins i tot han estat premiades. Amb tot, no interessen als distribuïdors comercials, i conseqüentment no tenen l’oportunitat d’arribar al públic.
Una franja de públic, àvida d’un cinema especial, mereix gaudir de pel•lícules diferents.
